In August 2008 I went to the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre at East Kirkby, wartime home of 630 squadron. Preserved Lancaster "Just Jane" can be viewed by the public and does "taxi-runs". Special days, called "VIP days" allow you to be on-board the aircraft and experience the thrill of the Merlin engines. I videoed my time there, the links are shown below:
